STUDY WITH SAMANTHA

Twice a month Samantha teaches and mentors a small group on drawing and painting. Class takes place in her private studio in Mapleton, Utah or occasionally nearby locations for in "plein air" (outdoors) training.

Classes included some guided instruction in a classical approach, individualized student projects, work time, and group critiques. Opportunities to work from life will be an important element, as well as learning from historical master painters.

*When drawing or painting a live model, the model will always be clothed.

Students are taught the fundamentals and applying them throughout all stages of an artists development. Students will work on projects of their and Samantha's choosing.

Samantha aims to help students find a balance between enjoying the work + being proud of their progress and stretching them to see and gain skills of more sensitivity and skill.

Class is $63/month

Twice a month on Wednesdays 4-6 pm

*Modest registration and quarterly "from life" fees apply

Students bring their own supplies, including drawing tools, oil painting supplies, and portable easel.

*A few easels will be available for use

POLICY

Your enrollment reserves a spot in the art class on an ongoing basis. Because class size is limited, tuition is charged for your reserved spot whether or not you attend a particular session.

Class is held twice a month (Wednesdays 4pm-6pm)

Schedule for the quarter will be released quarterly.

Tuition: $63/month

Registration: $10

Quarterly "From Life" Fee: $15

*This quarterly fee is used to hire models for studying from life, still life expenses, and plein air outings. It is collected each Jan, April, July, and October with monthly tuition.

Tuition and fees are due by the first lesson of each month regardless of attendance, missed classes, vacations, or other absences. Payments are for maintaining your reserved spot and are not based on the number of sessions attended.

To end enrollment, students are asked to provide notice 2 sessions before ending. Students who leave and later wish to return may re-enroll if space is available, with the standard registration fee.

Missed classes are not refundable and do not reduce monthly tuition. Make-up classes are not availble.

Student's are expected to arrive on time, be picked up on-time, be considerate and encouraging to their classmates and Samantha. Student's that are disruptive or persistently negative will be excused.

Schedule and prices may change over time, in which case student's will be given notice.
